TANZANIA & KENYA CIRCUIT

 

Day 1: On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met by an Africa Beauty representative and drive along the Nairobi/ Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park. At 20,807 sq Kms, Tsavo is largely than Jamaica and lies exactly midway between Nairobi and Mombasa on the Kenyan coast. Its home to herds of Elephants and the world famous man eating lions of Tsavo. Lunch will be served at Ngulia Lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at NGULIA LODGE (full board).

Day 2: Spend a further day in Tsavo West National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Its dramatic views in particular of the Mudanda Rock and Yatta Plateau, the worlds largest lava flow. Game in this area include elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, crocodile, giraffe, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra and hunters. All meals included. Overnight at NGULIA LODGE (full board).

Day 3: After breakfast morning drive further South to Amboseli National Park, one of the most popular parks on the Tanzania border offering unique spectacle ; the backdrop is the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain proudly standing at 19,344ft, and sometimes known as the “ROOF OF AFRICA”..  Lunch at Ol Tukai Lodge.  Afternoon game viewing drive.  Dinner and overnight at OL TUKAI LODGE (full board).

Day 4 : Spend a further day in Amboseli National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. Here you can see a proliferation on Giraffe and Elephants. The 56 species in this park include Baboon, velvet Monkey, Lion, Cheetah, Zebra, Wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner and overnight at OL TUKAI LODGE (full board).

Day 5 : After breakfast morning drive across the Kenya/ Tanzania border of Namanga past Arusha town to Tarangire National Park to the west of Arusha, famous for being one of the best parks in Tanzania to spot elephant to spot elephants. There will be an optional opportunity to visit with Dr. Charles Foley. Since 1993, Dr. Foley has been studying elephant social structure and migration patterns in Tarangire. The importance of the research lies in giving elephant the ability to migrate and roam wider swathes of land, so they may fill their important role in the Tarangire ecosystem. Lunch will be served at Tarangire Tented Camp. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at TARANGIRE TENTED CAMP (full board).

Day 6         A full day of game drives at Tarangire National Park will not disappoint even the most seasoned visitors to Africa. In addition to the year round presence of elephants, Tarangire attract s a large number of animals because of the Tarangire River. Large herds of Zebra, antelope, gazelles and wildbeests drink from the river while leopards and other predators hunt the animals gathered near the shores. All meals included. Overnight at TARANGIRE TENTED CAMP (full board).

 

Day 7 & 8 : After early breakfast, morning drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, lunch at the lodge, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at the lodge.  Ngorongoro's caldera shelters the most beautiful wildlife haven left on earth.  The Maasai and their cattle co-exist with the wildlife in this area, and visitors are able to appreciate this ancient interplay between wildlife and man.  Interpretive game drives through the emerald plains and forests of the crater floor engender guests with a respect for the people wildlife of this world wonder.  The next day we have the most enjoyable full day game drive in this fantastic crater with picnics lunches returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO WILDLIFE LODGE (full board).

 

Day 9 & 10: After breakfast at the lodge, morning drive to Africa's most famous park - the Serengeti.  We have two full days to explore its 5,600 sq. miles.  We will see cheetah, giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant - the list is endless.  And each year it is the scene of the great migration where millions of wildebeest and zebra make their annual trek in search of fresh grass.  Serengeti National Park is the Africa most of us have seen on television.  Many National Geographic specials have been filmed here.

    Now we can see first hand why so many naturalists and photographers are drawn to this place.  All meals at the lodge, overnight at SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE (full board).

 

Day 11 – 13: After early breakfast, morning drive with packed lunches across the Kenya/ Tanzania border of Isabania/ Sirare past Migori town into the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for late lunch at Kichwa Tembo Camp. During your three days, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in depth.  You will see elephant, giraffe, prides of lion, and thousands of impala, topi, grant's and Thomson's gazelle.  The Mara is the scene of annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grasses.  All meals included.  And overnights at KICHWA TEMBO CAMP (full board).

 

Day 14 & 15    After breakfast morning drive to past the lake side city of Kisumu further to Western Kenya town of Kakamega arriving in time for lunch at Rondo Retreat. During your two days, you have the opportunity to explore Kakamega Rain Forest in depth.  You will see the different spcies of birds and other mammals  Dinner and overnight at RONDO RETREAT (full board).

 

Day 16 & 17: After breakfast morning drive via Thompsons Falls down the floor of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected game sanctuary for endangered species such as the Black/ White rhino., Rothschild Giraffe among other usual game such as the leopard and Lion. The park is world-renowned for its millions of pink Flamingoes found around the lake. Lunch will be served at Lion Hill Sarova Lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at LION HILL SAROVA LODGE (full board).

 

Day 18 : Early morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast and later drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch on own arrangements. Afternoon at leisure or do optional activities arranged on request. Evening transfer to the Brazilian styled Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell complimentary dinner and later transfer to JKIA for your outbound flight.
